Modular Cube is a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange (DEX) that was created to buy and sell crypto assets in a non-centralized, non-custodial way. It’s constructed on the Binance Smart Chain, a blockchain designed to be faster and cheaper. The business model for a DEX is pretty simple: money is made by taking a small percentage of fees. More fees and more volume means a more valuable protocol. Fees also incentivize token ownership, if you stake Modular Cube you’re entitled to 0.05% of all fees earned by trading volume. Modular Cube, unlike other more focused protocols, has a model that starts with its decentralized exchange, but expands outwards into staking and lending/borrowing as well. It generates revenue on these processes and distributes it to the owners of the protocol, who can also collect the cash flows.
